Renewable energy company backs Sustrans' eco-project

Following an approach from the Sleaford Chamber of Commerce, renewable energy company Eco2 has given its official support for a new bridge project to increase sustainable travel in the area.

Eco2, which is proposing a renewable energy power plant in the East of Sleaford, is backing Sustrans Connect2 initiative to create a new walking and cycling route between Leasingham and Sleaford over the A17.

 

Andrew Toft, Project Director of Eco2 Biomass said: “We fully support The Sleaford Chamber of Commerce in its backing of the combined footbridge, cycleway.

 

As a renewable energy company we are keen to encourage the development of sustainable transport solutions in this area.  This project would significantly enhance Sleaford’s sustainability credentials and we hope that as many people as possible call in support of Sustrans before the polls close on Monday.”

 

Sustrans Connect2 - is one of four projects in “The People’s £50 million Lottery Giveaway” which allows the population to choose which one will receive £50 million of lottery funds.
