Regulatory
Management

The regulatory requirements of renewable energy assets are significant, have huge implications for the performance of your asset and can be onerous for owner-operators. Ensuring your regulatory requirements are provided as part of an efficient, integrated service, is essential to maintaining the high commercial performance of your asset.

Eco2’s Compliance team can serve as the interface between your asset and the regulator. We can draw upon our extensive development and asset management experience to deliver swift accreditation from OFGEM, manage ecological monitoring, deliver ROC submissions and put the systems in place to ensure your asset passes its sustainability audits. We will ensure your asset is in compliance with all environmental, health and safety, air quality and fuel specification requirements and reporting schedules.

Eco2 offers an efficient one-stop-shop service, with regulatory asset management under the same roof as financial management, this translates into savings for our clients.

Our experience of biomass development and asset management means that we can set up Fuel Monitoring and Sampling (FMS) procedures in a way that delivers quicker approval by OFGEM, avoiding the delays in accreditation, delays that can lead to major cashflow issues. Similarly, when changes are needed to an existing FMS regime, e.g. to bring in fuel from abroad, we know what is needed to get those changes reviewed and approved in a quick and timely manner.

For wind assets, our service also delivers the 24/7 operational control centre required under Renewables UK’s Wind Turbine Safety Rules. We can also manage the process of ecology monitoring after construction to satisfy planning conditions.
