The Project:

The portfolio consists of 11 wind sites across the UK and Ireland as well as a smaller portfolio of low-capacity wind turbines located across the Orkney, Shetland Islands.

These projects are owned by two of the leading renewable energy investment funds, GreenCoat and Foresight.

Eco2 Management Services Limited (EMSL) acts as the owner’s manager for these wind sites and EMSL’s role is to ensure that all contractors discharge their respective contractual obligations in the best interests of the owner.

The Role:

Initially responsible for the reporting required under Management Service Agreements (‘’MSA’s’’) to deliver key data to our clients.

Duties:

  • Collating, processing, and analysing raw data from a variety of sources.
  • Using analysed data to produce reports for our clients following the requirements detailed in the MSA.
  • Liaising with operational and finance personnel both within the company as well as external parties.
  • Attending client meetings to present an overview of the analysis undertaken.
  • Supporting the Technical Asset Manager with operational and contractual duties.
  • Performing daily checks of wind projects under management using the SCADA computer system.
  • Establish and build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintaining the data analytic tools providing input into improving systems and processes.
  • Building an efficient and effective working relationship with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Subject to appropriate training, undertake H&S role of Operational Controller under the Wind Turbine Safety Rules.

In addition to the above there will be the opportunity to undertake the following as the role develops:

  • Operational procedure drafting.
  • Site inspection visits.
  • Contractual document reviews.
  • Project management opportunities (arising as part of the wind turbines standard operations).
  • Exposure to other technologies (e.g. Solar, Anaerobic Digestion and Biomass).

Competencies:

Technical

Essential:

  • A level or higher qualification, including science or maths.
  • UK driving licence or actively working towards one.

Desirable:

  • Engineering or Science Degree level qualification.
  • Knowledge of how a wind turbine operates.
  • General understanding of the UK electricity market.
  • IT skills with a proficiency in Microsoft applications including advanced Excel with a basic understanding of macros and data analysis.
